Limited Stock, Nintendo Switch Price is Increasing

The recent Corona virus outbreak or commonly called COVID-19 which occurred in various countries has a major impact on the availability of stock of items. Start from health equipment, food, even in some areas in Australia, the United States to Europe, items such as toilet paper also experienced a lack of stock. Not only that, this one video game console is also starting to lack of stock.

The Nintendo Switch hybrid console is getting rare because the stock of goods in various regions is running out. It seems that quarantine at home makes people choose to buy the hybrid console, remembering one of the newest exclusive games, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has also just been released. In some United States retail stores, Nintendo Switch has been sold out, even Nintendo has apologize for the lack of available stock of console that are happening.

Nintendo Switch itself is a video game console made by Nintendo. Nintendo Switch was released to all over the world on March 3rd 2017. This console is a hybrid console that can be used as a home console and protable device. Currently Nintendo Switch has several games that can be played such as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Phantasy Star Online 2, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, The Witcher 3, and many more. Several big game companies such as Activison, Bethesda, Electronic Arts (EA), Sega, Square-Enix, Take-Two, and Ubisoft have partnered with Nintendo and will release their latest games on the Nintendo Switch.

The type of Nintendo Switch is usually sold at an official price of $300 USD. But now in online stores like Amazon the price is increasing to $439 USD. While the Lite version which was originally sold at an official price of $200 USD now reaches $230 USD. In other online stores such as Ebay, even the Switch console in a pre-owned or second condition is also sold at a price that is not far from the new one.

For now, the stock of console switches in the United States itself is still limited. Nintendo’s office for the United States itself hopes that they can add the stock of Nintendo Switch as soon as possible.
