Even with the “cliché” zombie theme, Dying Light 2 remains one of the most anticipated games this year. After a delay of several times, the lead designer from Techland, Tymon Smektala, revealed that the game project has now entered its final stage. Not only that, he also said that the announcement of a new release date could be announced in the near future.
Without giving clear details, Smektala revealed to The Escapist that they wanted the game’s release date to be a surprise to fans as well as those who had anticipated this game.
“There is a team at Techland that works on taking care of the release date and every info from the game, and we know very well if they want to surprise the players, so I don’t want to divulge it. All I can say is just trust us; the game has entered the final stage, and we need your support.”
In the same interview, Ola Sondej, senior PR manager from Techland also denied rumors about the game project and the Techland team faced serious problems. Sondej claims that the article sourced from the Polish website has a lot of incorrect information and the development of Dying Light 2 has been going according to plan.
In June and July there will be many digital conferences replacing E3 this year. PS4 game reveal from Sony and Xbox Games Studio Catalog from Microsoft are the main highlights. Will Dying Light 2 be present at one of the conferences? We will see later.
