Rumors about Sony wanting to acquire Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill have been the talking subject a few months ago. With them claiming Kojima Productions in their hands, this rumor claims Kojima Productions will be shown to work on a reboot of the two Silent Hill special franchises. These rumors sound sweet to be heard, but its rejected and that will not happen.
Through an interview with Livedoor, Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid and also a former Konami designer, denied the hot issue.
“Ah, that’s really wrong. I have not heard anything. “
In the same interview, Kojima was working on a project that was just in the planning phase. He did not discuss the relevance of his current project with Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid, so for the time being, what projects were developed by Kojima and what genres were worked on remain a mystery.
Although denied by Kojima, it is not impossible if Sony and Konami’s collaboration can happen in the future. But for a while, Konami still held well their iconic IP. Recently, they have collaborated with Behavior Interactive to develop the Silent Hill DLC for Dead by Daylight.
