After going through a long development period with two delays, The Last of Us Part II has finally been officially released. Although before the release of the game, The Last of Us Part II had received a lot of negative critics from some gamers and do a bombing review after its release. It does not mean that the game by Naughty Dog ended up losing money after it was released a few days ago.
Apparently The Last of Us Part II has managed to break the sales record of the best-selling and fastest-selling PlayStation 4 game so far to beat the previous Naughty Dog video game sales record, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
It was reported that the sales in the first week of the release of this game are about 1% higher than Uncharted 4. According to information from GamesIndustry this number does not include sales of digital versions which are likely to have incised sales numbers that are no less high.
The Last of Us Part II is the UK’s fastest selling Sony game on PS4, bigger than the Uncharted 4 launch in boxed sales alone. It’s the biggest game launch this year by far, smashing the opening sales of Animal Crossing, and comfortably bigger than its predecessor

Along with this news, The Last of Us Part II has also broken the sales record of the best-selling physical game in the UK so far, making about 40% more profits from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which previously consistently occupied the top 10 best-selling games since its release last March .
So despite of the numerous negative criticisms and controversies that exist, The Last of Us Part II is still a game that attracts worldwide attention, especially from loyal fans. The Last of Us Part II itself has been officially released since June 19, 2020 and exclusively on PlayStation.
