Kimetsu no Yaiba Comic Book Has Produced Up to 80 Million Copies

Comic Kimetsu no Yaiba or Demon Slayer from Japan by Koyoharu Gotouge has finally ended a while ago. Meanwhile, as of 3 July 2020, this comic will be recorded to have circulated up to 80 million copies. This figure includes the digital version and also the 21st edition of the free print version of the comics which will be released in Japan on July 3, 2020.

This Kimetsu no Yaiba comic tells the story of Japan in ancient times, where rumors circulated that demons that feed on humans roam the forest at night. This makes the residents do not come out of their homes at night. Meanwhile, there is a story that says there is demon slayer who also roam at night to hunt down these demons.

In the midst of the horror, there was a man named Tanjiro who struggled to take care of his family alone since his father died. Even though the family was in trouble, they lived happily. However, happiness vanished when Tanjiro found his family slaughtered. The only survivor was his younger sister, Nezuko, who had turned into a demon. Even so, Nezuko still showed his humanity through the emotions and thoughts he showed. To return his sister to become a human again, Tanjiro’s journey to find the cure, and to slay all the demons began.

Besides that a short side story has been prepared by Ryoji Hirano. With the title Kimetsu no Yaiba: Rengoku Gaiden, the side story will tell a story about Kyojuro Rengoku the Flame Hashira.
