One of the anime made by Kyoto Animation, titled Violet Evergarden plans to be resumed in a movie. The anime that also can be watched on the Netflix platform will get a movie with the title Violet Evergarden: The Movie. This box office movie was originally announced to be released in Japan on April 24, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the release of this film must eventually be postponed until the time undetermined. But as the situation gradually improved in Japan, finally Violet Evergarden: The Movie was announced to be released on September 18th 2020. As reported by Anime News Network, the news of this release was announced on the Oricon page after the announcement in the last episode of the anime series which was replayed on Japan recently.
Violet Evergarden’s own anime was adapted from a novel by Kana Akatsuki with illustrations by Akiko Takase. This novel is the winner of the Grand Prize of the 5th Kyoto Animation Awards held in 2014, which was later published by Kyoto Animation through its Esuma Bunko KA label in 2015. The anime itself has been released since January 10, 2018 then.
This anime is tell a story about Violet Evergarden, a woman who had once joined the military. During wartime, he was known as a cold-blooded soldier who only lived to follow the orders of his superior, Major Gilbert. After the war, he separated from the major. Now, Violet works at the C.H. after being invited by Gilbert’s colleague, Major Hodgins, as Auto-Memories Doll aka letter typist while looking for the meaning of the word “love” that was spoken by Gilbert and those around him.
