AMD seems to be on fire now. How not ? slowly but surely AMD rose to catch up with Intel a few years ago. And through 7 nm technology AMD has successfully demonstrated its dominance to continue to introduce new, more powerful products, especially for PC gamers.
And through the latest generation of Ryzen processors, it seems AMD is finally able to fulfill the gamers dream that is to play the latest games without using a graphics card AKA only with APU (accelerated processing units) only.
This was announced through a benchmark conducted by Youtuber TechEpiphany who had the opportunity to test earlier the latest AMD Ryzen 7 4700G processor which has AMD Vega GPU technology integrated in it. And TechEpiphany also immediately tested the performance of the processor which turned out to be able to run many of the latest games smoothly, even with the ‘High’ graphics settings.
There are 6 games that have been benchmarked, GTA V, Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Resident Evil 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Fortnite. And from the test of the 6 games, almost all games were successfully run smoothly even above 60 fps. With games like AC: Odyssey and Death Stranding that run at around 30 FPS. While Red Dead Redemption 2 is the most severe where the graphics settings must be lowered a lot so that the FPS is able to touch 30.
This amazing performance itself was achieved by TechEpiphany with AMD Ryzen 4700G processor, Asus Prime B550M-A motherboard, and 2x8GB DDR4-4133 RAM. 4700G itself has 8 cores and 16 threads, with speeds reaching 4.4 GHz, and built through Zen2 architecture which is still the same as Ryzen 3700 and 3800.
The price offered is also considered attractive because 4700G is rumored to have a price of around 3700 and 3800 or around $ 300. But unfortunately AMD has not announced when this processor will be launched and the price.
