Delaying the release of a video game since the announcement of its release date will certainly make fans very disappointed. Especially if the game has a super interesting concept and comes from a well-known developer with a good track record.
However, delays in video game development often occur due to several things. One of them is bugs, development problems that change along the way, to the idealism of the developer himself in order to provide the maximum experience for his fans.
After the release of The Witcher 3, which is still named one of the best RPG games of all time, the position of CD Projekt Red developer feels even stronger. In addition to gaining the full trust of many gamers, they also continue to put full dedication in developing Cyberpunk 2077, which looks more promising every year.
Since the release date was announced, Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced approximately two times the release date delay. The game, which initially had to be released at the same time as Final Fantasy VII Remake, had to be postponed until September 2020. However, this delay is apparently not the first time, CD Projekt RED has postponed it until November 19, 2020. The good news is that it looks like this will be the last delay.
Through his latest video, CFO CD Projekt RED Piotr Nielubowicz explains that they will not postpone the release of Cyberpunk 2077 again. Nielubowicz added that the game will be available before December 2020. In other words, 19 November 2020 will be the official release date without any future delays.
Meanwhile, through its financial reports, CD Projekt RED clearly explained that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on November 19, 2020. In detail they admit that the optimization is going very well and will continue until the release date later.
