After a long wait regarding the news about Rocket League becoming a free game, Psyonix finally gave their latest announcement. On September 15th, Psyonix announced that Rocket League would launch on all existing platforms for free on September 23rd.
Rocket League will be a free game on September 23 2020. To celebrate this, they will be holding an in-game event called “Llama-Rama” after its global release. After that, you will get an update to prepare for the celebration.
What’s New ?
On 23 September, you can try Rocket League on the Epic Games Store. If you add Rocket League on September 23 – October 23, you can get a $10 coupon for all the games and add-ons available on the Epic Games Store. If you try the game immediately around that date, you will get 2 new items, namely Sun Ray Boost and Hot Rocks Trail.
Additionally, Rocket League will be launching their Rocket Pass for Season 1. They will hold a competitive tournament again with additional game-wide challenges later. There will be 2 new packs for those of you who have bought this game, namely Endo Starter Pack and Jäger Pack.
For those of you who have played this game on Steam, you can link your Steam account to the Epic Games Store tomorrow. You can check more information about cross-platforms and how to link them via this link.
Those of you who already own this game will get a status called “Legacy Status” tomorrow.
Since they have moved to the Epic Games Store, Rocket League will be included in the “Support-A-Creator” program. You can help existing creators by using their code when buying something in the Items Shop.
