With the acquisition of the company, Microsoft and Xbox have officially become the owners of these famous franchises. Several IP classics from Bethesda and other studios will be added to the Xbox Game Studios line. Todd Howard also gave his statement regarding this acquisition through the official Bethesda website.
Bethesda Softworks in the future will release its games through Microsoft / Xbox such as Xbox Game Pass, including for future games which may be released exclusively by Microsoft and Xbox.
As of today, as many as 15 million users have tried Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass feature and there is still the possibility to add more. With the entry of ZeniMax Media to Microsoft, they have secured a total of 23 studios with a staff of more than 2300.
Microsoft itself has been rumored to be acquiring a “big company” through the Jeff Grubb Podcast. One of the main candidates at that time was Bungie. However, CEO Bungie has silenced these rumors by saying that they have no further agreement with Microsoft.
